Big Boi - Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors...Review

This album is a really GREAT sugary pop-rap album. You can't listen to this album and be depressed. There's just no way, and if you do listen to this album and get depressed you fail at life. This album is filled with quite a few artists from genres outside of Rap and Hip-Hop music who bring their flavors mixed in with some funky beats. The beats on this album are Poppy and some much other than others. I haven't heard a Hip-Hop album this poppy and fun since Will.I.AM.'s Songs About Girls album which I loved too. Fun man, that's all this album is. A fun album with eh maybe one or two "bangers" but a ton of enjoyable songs. This is defiantly worth a purchase and this album will more than likely be an album people love years down the line. As well as an album people will love after Big Boi stops making music. OH AND ONE MORE TINY THING.... And sorry no sign of Sir Andre but we can hope.
...Man that In The A sample from his verse on Kryptonite...wow that song is a dope banger and brings us solid T.I. that we love to hear and Luda always comes through with a solid verse.

Stand Out Song(s): Apple Of My Eye, In The A, Shoes For Running
Overall Raing: 7/10

T.I. - Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head...Review

Here we are...It's that time again...for reviews! Neat! T.I. is back with his new album Trouble Man Heavy Is The Head..because things that go well together are Violent Hip-Hop and Jesus. Now I'm not sure about most people, but I personally think T.I. is at his best and we love him the most for his "Trap-Rap" songs, the heavy bass influenced, shit talking, street and banger songs. And this album has a few of them which is great BUT...it almost gets ruined by these slow "deep" songs, not that all of the deep songs are bad, it's just that T.I. is about as deep as a glass of water. And not that have anything against Pink but can anyone say "OMG IM DIFFERENT BY HAVING PINK ON MY ALBUM AND THIS WILL TOTALLY BE A RADIO SINGLE BECAUSE IM NOT POP FRIENDLY AND PINK IS!" Literally what it comes down to with most rappers is "WELL IS IT AS GOOD AS..." and whatever T.I. album you like that's his "best" this album isn't. It's not better than my favorite T.I. album King. It fits somewhere in-between Paper Tail good and No Mercy bad. So if you're looking for "KING BACK" T.I. you may just want to listen to King Back...by T.I.
...What the fuck was up with those skits at the end of those songs...they didn't even relate to the next song and I mean they had lot of impact but it seemed like a poor attempt at doing what the Kendrick Lamar album did. And yeah, I listened to that album...and no I'm not reviewing because you've heard it already...And if you don't like the Kendrick album...you may not be as "HIP HOP" as you think you are.

Chris Brown - Fortune...Review

Chris Brown - Fortune
Sorry #TeamBreezy (actually no fuck you)..I have nothing against Chris Brown anymore because if Rihanna doesn't care then why the fuck should i? Ok let's move on...ummm what's interesting here nothing really and I'm sorry I just..Chris Brown and slow long songs just come off as "SUCK MY DICK SLUT" with little to no passion or intimacy for me. Now on the flip side the singles/party songs are great. He seems genuinely enthusiastic and happy to make them. So what do we have here? Well we have a so/so pop album with some forced R&B that sounds like leftovers from F.A.M.E.

Jesus piece (track by track review) sort of

The game Jesus piece review

Scared now game sounds a lot like Ross on the hook meek mill did his thing other than that its a solid intro

Ali bombaye game comes in rapping with the Kane flow. 2 chains comes in spittin his usual money raps he does his thing nothin spectacular. Game comes in rapping with the quick flow the hook is pretty weak. Game try's to do the meek mill flow on this track the high pitch shit at the end of the word. Ross comes in third regular Ross bars tough talk money talk nothing spectacular. Game comes in again then 2 chains nice set up in this song nothing magical. Not a big fan of game imitating other rappers on this song.

Jesus piece good song Kane is stale on the hook typical game song name drop name drop also games imitation of kanyes "ha" is pretty funny but not needed common drops a few bars but they are quickly forgotten

Pray smooth track feat jcole and jmsn funny that jmsn is on this. he is new to many ears . J cole comes in doing his typical cole shit tryna match game on the flow he gets off on it but nothing too spectacular. The song sound like something better suited for a jcole Kendrick Lamar type of colabo

Church feat king chip and trey songz I'm not sure what the game is trying to do on this song his flow is on some weird shit idk who he sounds like but he don't sound like typical game. This sounds like something juicy j should be on. Pretty forgettable not a fan of the double hook. King chip comes and and sounds like a terrible h town rapper probably a bad choice as a 3 rd verse nothing spectacular again

So far only two tracks have medium replay value

All that(lady) game featuring Wayne, fab, big Sean, and that dude that did birthday song. This song is waaaay too west coast for the people that are on it. Wayne is his same old mediocre self. The hook is sub par at best. Big Sean sounds like a poor mans pusha t and he goes on to do his typical Sean shit funny punch lines that make no one but him laugh. Fab comes in and the song fades out so ur left wanting more

Heavens arms game comes in trying to sound like nas and does a piss poor job at it so he resorts to dropping his same game flow name drops and gangsta talk. With the right person on his beat it could of been a monster

Name me king feat pusha t. The beat is a monster game comes in doing his game thing you know nothing new same old flow. Push t comes in and destroys it but what else would you expect completely outshines game this should of been a clipse track malice would of floated all over this beat. So far this is my favorite track

See no evil feat Kendrick and tank another great beat when game uses his own flow he truly shines this is a monster of a song. Tank kills the hook the flang/phaser/auto tune effect makes it that much Better Kendrick comes in a tears it all the way the fuck down I could of seen this being on gkmc. Tank does his thing on the bridge this is a monster great song another fave

Can't get right the beat is similar to previous ones but its done very well. Game continues to do his thing tries to get deep but switches right back to the bitches and money in a manner far to quick to even get his message across the kid k Roosevelt does his thing on the hook "funny how you do your top fives and don't mention me" well said but the truth is games catalog is not substantial enough to warrant a top five mention so far 5 tracks worth repeating

Haleluja feat Jaime foxx this is sound like a kanye track which is probably why game tries to sound too much like kanye on his track even on the hook he tries his hardest to do the ye flow. Had kanye done this track it would of worked out much better Jaime does his thing as expected. The beat is nothing spectacular the hook section is what carries this song.

Freedom feat Elijah Blake the sample is pretty nice the beat is a decent ye-ish style joint but the game doesn't bring much fire here it's like he phoned it in. Not much to say here seem like an ending track

Celebration feat Wayne wiz cb and tyga another monster track great use of the bone thug flow and sample. Game does his thing Chris brown comes in and washes the track tyga comes in does his best bizzy bone flow and it actually works for him. Great choice of a lead single Wayne is up next and he could of been left off should of been replaced by the likes of krazie bone or lazie bone. Wiz does a quick verse and it works out

I remember feat jeezy and future game does a terrible Ross/ new shyne flow which should of been left for one of them it sounds too force typical southern track mostly a stripper track nothing spectacular jeezy drop them typical snowman bars heavy on the rarris and coke flow. Nothing impressive future comes in and does his best to shine but comes off with the luster of an old penny this track is pretty much a throw away not worth the extra pice for the deluxe edition

Blood diamonds the beat comes in with another vocal sample this is another one that works really well. I can picture some one like pusha t totally demolishing this beat game does his best to carry this beat but it ends up carrying him tries to get a message across but from some one like game the message sounds more like gloating and glorification than an actual meaningful message. I would like to see a remix feat pusha or malice they would make better use of a beat like his even kanye would be a better fit

Overall his album doesn't bring much to the table a solid effort in a soft rap year 5 tracks out of 15 that are worth listening. As a fan of some of games work this album is about a 4 out of 10 topics tend to stay the same and only stray in different direction when a feature artist comes in. I don't expect this album to gain the game many new fans but it will keep his existing placated for the time being. Solid effort but falls short from excellent. Beat selection is what carries this album the features tend to be a little on the heavy side. Which would lead some to bring up the old topic of game not being able to carry an album by him self. Or not being to have a single with out a feature.

Top song scared now, Jesus piece, name me king, see no evil, and celebration if you get the deluxe edition blood diamonds is another good track

The Game - Jesus Piece (Deluxe Edition)..Review

What? You wanna know how the Game ft Kanye ft Common I mean..GAME x KANYE x COMMON song is right? Well, Kanye only does a boring ass hook...there are you happy now? Common is stale and boring and hasn't sounded interesting since Be.

Now...let's move on:
What we have here is a quick cash in of songs with feature after feature. He Rick Ross'd it, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately for new Game fans there's nothing really here..to make you go "OHHH WOW RAP ALBUM OF THE YEAR DUDES" It's the same old Game, doing the same old thing. Meek Mill does his thing. 2 chainz does his thing as do Ross, Jamie and etc etc...It's just boring and most of the rappers outshine Game on the tracks anyway. And do we really need to hear game talk about "deep" things? If you remember this "And I'll do anything but I won't fuck Mariah
Even if she had Ashanti butt naked in bed
cause she got a forehead just like Tyra"
You really won't be wow'd by anything on this album. Did you like R.E.D. more than Documentary? If so, then pick this up. If you like Documentary and then you're kinda "ehhh mehhh Game ehh" pass on this.
Feeling a ...oh wait a minute let's do stand out songs first.

Stand Out Song(s):
The Game ft 2 Chainz and Rick Ross - Ali Bomaye ...and the ending skit is funny because "LOL NIGGAS"

(12/7/2012 6:56:36 PM) boo bahh: kid says since punk is hurt a lot of people are saying ryback and hell no will be moved to the penultimate match. Personally i agree i dont think wwe has faith in their "fresher" talent to keep audience and more  specifically cenation in their seats tll the end of the ppv. So that would mean moving the Cena match to the last spot and making all the marks happy. Now comes the silly part so clearly i was banking more toward ziggler winning the match before this theoritical move but now that cena is the last match i think that wwe might just let the cenation win and go home "happy" guy says in so many words he thinks more that ziggler will win now because it would be shocking
(12/7/2012 6:56:42 PM) boo bahh: wow sorry never pressed enter
(12/7/2012 8:47:25 PM) boo bahh: also in other rasslin news undertaker is talking about working WM29
(12/7/2012 8:47:57 PM) boo bahh: he asked for a specific person too but dont know who .
(12/7/2012 8:48:36 PM) boo bahh: personally i wanna see where this new nexus goes cause i may want it to be one of them if not then i dont even know who needs the rep for taking on taker
(12/7/2012 8:49:00 PM) boo bahh: but as usual dumbs are speculating too
(12/7/2012 8:49:23 PM) boo bahh: this storys dumb says its gonna be either Cena Rock Punk or Sting
(12/7/2012 8:49:26 PM) boo bahh: ...

(12/7/2012 9:40:21 PM) boo bahh: if you said 12 youd be right
(12/7/2012 9:40:51 PM) boo bahh: now kid goes and makes a top 10 list of them and leaves out the one with king and the one with flair
(12/7/2012 9:40:57 PM) boo bahh: wait wait wait
(12/7/2012 9:41:21 PM) boo bahh: so a top 10 of of technically 10?
(12/7/2012 9:41:57 PM) boo bahh: ok why not well punk vs miz vs wet hands wasnt a spectacular one but it def deserves a spot on my list
(12/7/2012 9:41:59 PM) boo bahh: WAIT
(12/7/2012 9:42:03 PM) boo bahh: THFUCK

Xzibit - Napalm (2012)

This...did we really need a new Xzibit album? Was anyone asking Hey! Where's that guy who made Front 2 Back at? Where's that PIMP MY RIDE GUY AT? This one is easy...umm everything sounds like one long ass continuous song because X does little to nothing to change his style/flow or topic. The last good song from Xzibit was Hey Now...yeah...Keri Hilson...yeah...that song..

Stand out Song(s): State Of Hip Hop Vs. Xzibit, 1983, Spread It Out

Feeling a boring out of 10 aka 2/10

HumanX
Tho I agree with trell on some points I tend to believe the cd is more of a meh out of 10. It gives me a vibe of pre full circle xzibit. I would like to add the songs "everything, dos Equis, and movies(featuring the game, slim the mobster and crooked I)"to the list of listenable ones. I give this cd a 3.75 out of 10 not his best work but a solid one

Darko Gets Angry

As a Detroit Pistons fan, it's hard for me to forget about Darko Milicic. If you guys don't remember, he was taken in the 2004 NBA draft as the 2nd pick. That makes him one pick behind LeBron and a higher draft pick than DWade, Melo, Bosh... You get the point. Whether or not we would have won the title with Melo on our team is a mystery but I'll never forget the human victory cigar, Darko. Here's one of my favorite Darko moments. This is an interview after an international game and Darko is very candid about the events during the game. *Parental Advisory* This contains strong subtitles.

Fabolous - The Soul Tape 2 (2012)

Before we get started...can we all admit that Fabolous' NICEEEEE ad-lib is probably the coolest ad-lib in 5 years? Ok? Cool.
Now let's get started:
The beats on this mixtape are great, obviously very "soulful" for the most part which is refreshing to hear after all of the bullshit rap producers make these days. And with that being said only about half of the songs on this mixtape are good. Passed song 5 Diamonds which obviously is sampled from Rihanna's Diamonds song the mixtape sky dives into the boring topics Loso is familiar to. Money, Not Not Wife'ing Bitches, "Bum niggas" and etc. What could've been a possibly good mixtape from top to bottom with soulful beats and storytelling it falls flat on its face.
I'm feeling a solid 4/10 on this mixtape. Same old Loso, different day. "True" rap fans will pass on this and "Loso" rap fans will eat it up.
