Lil Wayne ≡ I Am Not Human Being II Review (Track by Track)
1. "IANAHB"
This song has some good lines but the forced piano isn't mind blowing.
5/10
2. "Curtains" (featuring Boo)
Oh god Auto-tune...why!? This basically sounds like No Worries. Even the rhyme scheme sounds like the flow on No Worries. This is more of the "I'm Lil Wayne and I'm the shit" Also Boo raps...So...ok
3/10
3. "Days and Days" (featuring 2 Chainz)
This beat is clubby. And why wouldn't it be? It has 2 Chainz. Insanely bass heavy. "I like math...all I did was add bitches" And other horrible 2Chainz lines. Unfortunealy, when 2Chainz raps the beat gets really muddy. Because it changes, which was weird.
5/10
4. "Gunwalk" (featuring Gudda Gudda)
Love the beat. Love the background vocal sample of the "Yeah Ho". Chorus is repeated but it's catchy. Lil Wayne brings a nice focused verse. Gudda Gudda actually fits into the track as well. Definitely a great head bobber. I love the added echo of "You speechless" by Wayne too. Great track. It sounds like a classic "Shoot this shit up" song and it reminds me of an old school Tear The Club Up Thugs tune.
7/10
5. "No Worries" (featuring Detail)
The 2nd single off of the album. So you know it's going to be well produced with some good lines. Another banger/head bobber by Wayne. Catchy, the beat gets a bit wonky again and switches a few times. The beat switching with all of the mixed/unmixed muddy vocals in the backgrounds accompanied by the adlibs really take me out of the song. For some this will be a great song and others it will be in one ear out of the other. 5/10
6. "Back to You"
Awful intro sample here guys. First off I'm
not sure what this beat wants to be. It's a harsh faux "Hard Rock" beat.
The song doesn't really explain what it wants to be. I'm not sure whats
with rappers and now going from wanting to be NBA players to wanting to
be "Rockstars" but it really isn't working. Does anyone want Lil Wayne
Rapping slow? Skip this one.
1/10 7.
"Trigger Finger" (featuring Soulja Boy)
A nice mincing beat here. A nice slow rhythmic beat. But the chorus is lazy which can take you out the song. "My trigger finger itching, my trigger finger itching" To me that's not deep or dope it's really just unimaginative.Although this song has some nice lines it. But, umm was anyone asking for a Wayne/Soulja Boy song? Luckily, the Soulja Boy verse is ehhh, I guess you can't have a verse by him without him talking about his "Swag". I can easily hear Royce or The Game on this beat and doing it much better justice.
3/10
8. "Beat the Shit" (featuring Gunplay)
More auto-tune in the intro. I can't help but laugh at this chorus. This song is another "Club" song. But, this song should've had 2Chainz on it. Just to give you an idea of what it sounds like. I really hope there's a remix of this song down the line with Wayne, Gunplay, 2Chainz and Waka Flocka. Bass savy, heavy basslines, good lines. So here's to hoping those guys make a remix of this song.
7/10
9. "Rich as Fuck" (featuring 2 Chainz)
Speaking of 2Chainz. This could be the best beat on the entire album. And you may be wondering, why I'm really only talking about the production of the album...it's Wayne, let's be serious. Anyway, with this you would kind of expect a Rick Ross type of "high class" beat. But this is more of another "Club/Trap" song. While the beat lacks creativity, it does have a good bassline that can be catchy for some. I actually wouldn't mind hearing Mobb Deep.
3/10
10. "Trippy" (featuring Juicy J)
Didn't Juicy J already have Trippy Mane? Oh well, this song draws "influence" from that song/ideal. But, the beat is 100% trap. The song brings the classic 36 Mafia feel for the obvious reasons. These are the beats I wish Wayne rapped over more often. Because his flow and voice feels these beats like a glove. I will have to not a point off though because the snap/snare is a bit harsh for a weed smoker anthem but that's ok. THATS MY TRIPPY KIT, THATS MY TRIPPY KIT! TURNT UP!!
6/10
11. "Love Me" (featuring Drake and Future)
You know, I'm talking to really enjoy Future's voice. When it's matched with a good beat like this one. And again this is a single. So it's "safe" and properly produced. This song features Drake as well. His voice/flow matches the beat as well. Drake and Future easily take this song ever. This song has the one of the best choruses/hooks on the album if not the best. The song does run its course a bit though. I wouldn't mind a verse by Drake on this beat but it's good smoker song.
6/10
12. "Romance"
Really need to stop with the lighter and smoking thing. ANYWAY, this song...Is awful and did Wayne still use the "Folgers in your cup" line? A failed attempt of "A Love" song when Wayne spent the past 11 songs describing how he fucks women and the like. Yeah, not buying it especially from Wayne. And this just isn't "hating" the flow is lazy, the hook is awful and so is the beat. NEXT!
0/10
13. "God Bless Amerika"
Didn't even realize this song started. Because it's one of those The Weeknd type of airy beats. It really sounds like one of his leftovers. So, if you think The Weeknd is "deep" or "sexy" then you may like this track. But, the beat has a bit of a pick up and it's really out of place. Personally, I find The Weeknd boring and stale. You'll either find this beat intriguing or lackluster, for me...GUESS.."God Bless America, this God-less America" Great line, unfortunately there's not to many of these lines....Oh, and the beat also changes to..it doesn't matter.
1/10
14. "Wowzers" (featuring Trina)
Soulja Boy on the beat huh!?! Alright, let's give it a shot. More piano but this time its a mash of keys. Wayne also beats a line in this song but whatever. It's all the same by this point. More pussy references...It's just..old now. Trina...oh Trina, I haven't heard much of her in a while but it's still Nann Nigga type stuff so.
1/10
15. "Hello" (featuring Shane Heyl)
Ok, here we go. Another rock song. Did you like Lil Wayne doing a Metal/Metalcore song? You know what, I hate this song. But the fact that "Urban" kids will hear this and hate it. I love that. Keep it that way. This song is the most generic Metal song I've ever heard in my life. Think Limp Bizkit leftover and that's what this song is. I'm waiting for the tweets of "I LIKE DIS WAYNE, BUT DAT ROCK SONG, I AINT FUCKIN WIT DAT" This song rips of Limp Bizkit's Boiler.
1/10
16. "Lay It Down" (featuring Nicki Minaj and Cory Gunz)
WTF!?! WHY ARE THEY RAPPING OVER THIS?
4/10
17. "Hot Revolver" (featuring Dre)
I don't even...Just stop. Just youtube it.
0/10
Wasn't this song released before?
18. "My Homies Still" (featuring Big Sean)
Thee. Best. Song and Beat. On the fucking album. Jesus fucking Christ this song is perfect for both Wayne and Big Sean. Add Waka to this on a remix it's golden. Heavy bass, fun, energetic. I could listen to both of these guys rap over this for hours. I really would love a YMCMB mega mix of this or something. I really hope this song becomes the "Amillie" of the year. And if you know Hip-Hop you know what I mean by that. I really thought this album would be more of this stuff. Clever lines, fun lines, silly lines.
9/10
Honestly, this will be forgot about in a week or two. It sounds and feels like a mixtape because there is no centered "theme" to this album. It feels like a collections of songs, that Wayne just had left over. So unfortunately, we really don't get a great or even a good album out of this release.
Overall:3/10
Coexist hits facebook by @LakeshoreJohnny
I'm making a feature film this summer.
I've made a few shorts in the past few years and I finally decided to go for a feature-film. I've tried this feature-film idea before, but then I literally found 4 movies using the same idea as me. So bye-bye Mr. Midnight.
In hindsight, it was probably for the best. At least, thats what I tell myself.
Coexist:
Cole and Emma got married 4 years ago. After graduating college, what's next? Getting a job. After getting the job, what's next? Buying a car. After buying a car, what's next? Buying a house. After buying a house, what's next? Have a baby. But before they could start a family, tragedy strikes the both of them, causing one of them to re-examine their life before and after the day they first met.
Using music from Alyssa Sky with the score done by Enrique Calzada, Coexist utilizes local acting talent John Hernandez, Alyssa Sky, David James Banen and Malena Manuel.
The film is written and directed by me (Johnny Ysaguirre Nieto aka @LakeshoreJohnny) with the entire film being shot this summer in Tempe.
I'm finishing the script soon (I have Tarantino-syndrome-when-he-was-filming-Kill-Bill-because-I-keep-thinking-of-scene-after-scene-after-scene-even-though-its-almost-like-Michael-Douglas-in-Wonder-Boys-aka-I-cannot-stop-writing).
Actually, its not that severe. Its all going according to plan. I plan on using all of April to dig deeper into the characters, do character videos on YouTube and maybe some videos with the cast and crew. So I'll be busy this summer.
The hashtag for the movie is;

2chains starts a Fall Out Boy Fire (Trck Revwz)
I didn't even know they had a new album coming out this year. I'll check it out and review that. as for this song. It's average, its the "HEY GUYS WE'RE BACK" type of single that every single artist does after a hiatus. Sure you can look for a "deeper" meaning, but it's Fall Out Boy, so ehhh, is it really worth it? But on the plus side this does make my ears perk up and I'll keep an eye out for them. Although I don't think anyone outside of High School was clamming for a new Fall Out Boy album. I'm not even sure kids in High School know who they are. It must kinda suck to be an adult band and only cater to teenage girls.

This Week Pick Ups (It's Saturday now)
Wavves - King of the Beach (2010)
And you're all like, but Carter you're supposed to be into all the HIPSTER SHIT BECAUSE YOU'RE A HIPSTER. Well even a hipster like myself will miss a few things and this is one of them. This is a Lo-Fi/"Beach" Pop album. Nothing crazy, just really fun stuff. Think Blink 182 meets Beach Boys. Alot of catchy, fun..this album is A Bud Lite Lime in your hand and a beach. I also know its "mainstream" now because I read that King of the Beach was in a commerical. And you know, I actually used to be one of those hardcore hipsters (kinda still am) who would always say "I LISTENED TO THEM BEFORE THEY WERE POPULAR" I'm old, so I say retro words like "popular" and "rad", but anyway. I used to be like that, but now I really don't even care unless its a sellout move. I'm looking at you Maroon 5.
Big L - Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous (1995)
Awful album title spelling aside. I've picked up quite a few 90s Hip Hop albums and I've come to find that it's ranging from "Meh to Ok" with me. I know people swear by 2pac but I wasn't a big fan aside from his singles. And for like a month I LOVED 7 Day Theory which..may have been why I was so depressed...BUT ANYWAY! I'd tell people I wasn't a big 2pac fan and then after they picked up their jaw, I would then say "Don't look at me like that, I'm not a huge Biggie fan either" Fat jokes...Fat joe...MAN these vicodin...ANYWAY! People would just get all butthurt about it. How do you like Jay-Z but not Biggie. How do you like this guy but not 2pac. As if they are the founders of Hip Hop. So I took a week and I snagged some Hip-Hop albums. Before I get into this Big L album let me just say something really quickly.2pac and Notorious B.I.G. Albums That Matter Power Rankings:
- The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die
- 2pac - All Eyez On Me
- 2pac - Greatest Hits
- The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death
So can we stop acting like these guys dropped super classics please?
Also I guess this makes me a Bigger fan because I put it first. All 4 of these albums are interchangable. And don't you fucking dare try to tell me that shit like R U Still Down and Until the End Of Time gets alot of plays in your headphones. Save the bullshit.

The Strokes ≡ Comedown Machine (2013)
Look I know the questions people have about this album already.
- Question: LIEK OMG IZ IT LIKE IS THIS IT? Answer: Well it's not, so sorry.
- Question: OH GOD DOES THAT MEAN ITS LIKE FIRST IMPRESSION OF EARTH!?! Answer: Wrong again, it's not really that bad.
- Question: SOOOO WTF IS IT LIKE?!?!
Answer:
Now if you didn't like this album well I'm really sorry but that's the direction their going in. I did it, because I'm down with funky grooves and catchy pop rhythms. And honestly, I'm not a BIG (The) Strokes fan, so them "keeping it old school" doesn't really affect me. Now RADIOHEAD on the other hand, man Radiohead fucking switched their shit up every album and you had to get used to this genre, and that genre and this sound and that sound...Anyway this album is good, it's a nice mix of Indie Rock/Pop/Synth. It's nice and relaxing and dancey in places. Some people complained about Julian and his falsetto but I think it's fine. Again probably because I really have no strong bond with the band anyway. Let's score this sucker and wait for the new Vampire Weekend album!
7.5/10
--->I know you stupid fucks are going to hate the new Vampire Weekend album, because alot of you hate the 2 new tracks/videos they released, I read your fucking comments. Just relax and wait for the album to come out and then we can judge it...then rage and hope they make a new Discovery album. I'm really surprised alot of people don't know Ezra did that side project<-----

This Week Pick Ups (3-20-13)
Blind Faith - Blind Faith (1968)
Let me just explain who is on this album. I'm going to include the hyperlinks because people are stupid.
Blind Faith is the self-titled album by the English supergroup Blind Faith, which consisted of Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds, Cream), Ginger Baker (Graham Bond Organisation, Cream), Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic) and Ric Grech (Family)."
Exactly, so you Psychedelic Rock/Blues fans really need to check this one out.
Led Zeppelin - I through IV
Alright guys these 4 fucking albums...THESE...4...FUCKING...ALBUMS. Essential Heavy Rock/Blues Rock/Psychedelic Rock albums. And they really lead well into each other. Now they lose steam a bit. If you really only have to pick one of them to find/get make sure you pick up Led Zeppelin II.
Rick James - Street Songs (1981)
This album wasn't mind blowing. I picked it up because of the singles Give It To Me Baby and Super Freak. BUT I was surprised to find a few more good tracks on this album too. Like Ghetto Life and Mr. Policeman. And it's a Funk/R&B so it isn't too long. It's a nice album to just thrown on every one in a while.
Lil B - I'm Thraxx
His best work. Just saying
Squarepusher - Go Plastic (2001)
Another essential, but this time it's an experimental/IDM album. Great chaotic yet relaxing electronic album. When you pick this one up make sure you grab My Red Hot Car (Girl) I've loved this song for well over 10 years.

Carter's "Legal" Pickups (3-12-13)
I was on a retro psychedelic kick so I snagged some retro stuff, dig it.
The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle. Um, a really depressing album. But if you're in a b'awwwww why me type of mood I guess it's good. Not even going to link anything, fuck off and google your own depressing shit.
Next up is War - Why Can't We Be Friends (The album you fucking retard fuckbag). This album is really an odd mix bag. There's R&B, Soul, Funk and Instrumental. It's good for when you're in the mood for a little bit of everything. The downside is that it doesn't really fit. If that makes any sense what so ever. The R&B doesn't lead well into the Soul, which doesn't lead well intro the Funk or Instrumental. But, a couple singles from this album Such as Low Rider (yes, that Low Rider) and the album title; Why Can't We Be Friends.
Alright, this one I wasn't expecting to be into, but damn is it good. The Olivia Tremor Control - Explanation II...Amazing Ambient music, great all the way through. Get yourself some good headphones, find this in a high quality kbps, relax and enjoy. Listen
/mu/ made me download it but fuck it. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea...got damnit guys, this is actually really good. And this isn't the "troll" running gag bullshit. Maybe I "fell for it", you know how we do with the Lil B thing? Or the Tim and Eric Billion Dollar Movie thing? But, I like those things and I really like this. It's Freak-Psych-Folk at its best. I kinda want it to be remastered or find a better quality I guess because my copy is pretty shit but, man it just grabs you in. The only negative is that, some of Jeff's vocals are a bit sharp and make you kinda wince and close your eyes or grit your teeth but other than that, it's really good. Read It Fag LISSSSSSSSTEN PLEASE
The Temptations - All Directions and what a proper title. Because this thing bounces around a few genres of music. A relatively short album too. 8 songs coming in at 34mins with Papa Was A Rolling Stone being the longest at 11 minutes. This album does different genres right. Soul, Funk, Psychedelic Soul. Good quality, solid album, grab your headphones. Read
Lil B-I'm Thraxx...I don't want to talk about it.
Next is (Carlos) Santana - Abraxas..easily the best Hispanic rock album of all time. And this is before Smooth and Maria. This is Oye Coma Va and Black Woman. Nothing more to say here, nothing more to see here, just listen.
Kishi Bashi - 151a my god the amount of color. I'm just really getting into Animal Collective and I didn't like this my first listen. I felt like "experimental" noise/pop whatever. But, after getting into Animal Collective (kid on RN Surfer I think his name was, you were right about AnCo) It's just chill and fun. Listen
I'll see you next time.
